PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a printer equipped with a structure capable of improving throughput. SOLUTION: A control part 50 controlling a conveying motor 14 and a feeding motor 31 so that a peripheral speed of a feeding roller 27 cooperating with a conveying roller 4 and conveying a printing medium and a peripheral speed of the conveying roller 4 are almost same, calculates a first target intermittent conveying amount of the conveying roller 4 and a second target intermittent conveying amount of the feeding roller 27 in next intermittent conveying time from the sum total of a measurement intermittent conveying amount of the printing medium, and controls rotation of the conveying motor 14 and the feeding motor 31 while having a number of revolutions lower than a first set number of revolutions and a second set number of revolutions as a target number of revolutions when the conveying roller 4 is rotated with the first set number of revolutions based on a prescribed set intermittent conveying amount for the first target intermittent conveying amount and the conveying motor 14 cannot be suitably controlled or when the feeding roller 27 is rotated with the second set number of revolutions based on the set intermittent conveying amount for the second target intermittent conveying amount and the feeding motor 14 cannot be suitably controlled.
