<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a printer which is a portable printer carried with the operator or the like, and particularly has imparted thereto such robustness that it is proof against breakage even if dropped onto the ground by mistake. <P>SOLUTION: The printer 1 has a printer body 2; a cover 3 openable with respect to the printer body 2; a platen roller 16 supported on the cover 3 in a manner rotatable forward and backward about a platen shaft 21; a head support portion 20 arranged on the printer body 2, for holding the platen shaft 21 in an engageable/disengageable manner; and platen guide plates 41, 41 fixed to the outside of the head support portion 20, for holding the platen shaft 21. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
