PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a producing method which allows production of organic silver salt particles for a silver salt photothermographic dry imaging material less liable to fog and excellent in coating properties, wherein the particle size distribution of the organic silver salt particles is monodisperse, and a silver salt photothermographic dry imaging material using the organic silver salt particles. SOLUTION: An apparatus for producing organic silver salt particles is provided in which a silver ion-containing solution using at least water or a mixture of water and an organic solvent as a solvent and a solution or suspension of an alkali metal salt of an organic acid using water, an organic solvent or a mixture of these as a solvent are mixed to form organic silver salt particles, wherein the producing apparatus is a static mixing apparatus in which a mixing discharge pipe and two supply pipes are connected in such a way that the axis of the mixing discharge pipe and the axes of the supply pipes meet substantially in one place, and each of the supply pipes and the mixing discharge pipe is a glass pipe or a glass lined pipe.
