PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming method which does not cause image stain due to fixing offset and does not cause winding to the heating belt side even in both-side printing when performing image formation by using an image forming apparatus provided with a fixing device having a belt-like heating means and a belt-like pressing means. SOLUTION: In the image forming method having a process of fixing a toner image by using the fixing device of a contact heating method, a resin constituting a toner contains polyester resin and styrene-acryl based resin, wherein the polyester resin is formed by condensation-polymerizing polyvalent carboxylic acid and polyvalent alcohol under the existence of styrene monomer and acrylic acid ester monomer in an aqueous medium, thereafter, the styrene-acryl based resin is formed by radical-polymerizing the styrene monomer and the acrylic acid ester monomer, and the fixing device of the contact heating method has the belt like heating means and the belt-like pressing means.
