An LNG BOG(Liquefied Natural Gas Boil-Off Gas) reliquefaction apparatus and a method are provided to prevent thermal stress from being applied to a BOG compressor by compressing BOG of low temperature at high temperature and high pressure and mixing the BOG of low temperature with some of the compressed BOG by bypassing some of the compressed BOG through BOG bypass pipes. An LNG BOG reliquefaction apparatus is composed of a BOG cycle for compressing BOG generated from an LNG storing tank, by repeatedly pressurizing and heat-exchanging the BOG by a BOG compression unit having plural compressors(112a,112b,112c) and middle freezers(113a,113b,113c) and a nitrogen cycle for supplying cold heat to a condensing unit. BOG bypass pipes(115,116) make some of the BOG compressed in one of plural compressors bypass an inlet of the compression unit and mixes some of the compressed BOG with the BOG flowing to the BOG compression unit. |
