PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an antitheft system for vehicle capable of limiting the damage of theft to a minimum even though a portable unit has been modified. SOLUTION: In response to the ON-operation of switch means 21 and 22 provided in correspondence with each lock device arranged at each portion of the vehicle, an oscillating means 241 transmits a radio wave with a frequency corresponding to the switch means 21 or 22 of the relevant ON-operation or corresponding other switch means 22 or 21 from a transmit-receive antenna 23. Frequency of a radio wave received by discriminating means 11f is discriminated and a radio wave modulated by ID code corresponding to the discriminated frequency is transmitted. Comparison means 26 compares an ID code obtained by demodulating a received radio wave to an ID code corresponding to ON- operated switch means 21 or 22 read from an on-board ID code memory means 25 and, when both of them coincide each other, a lock device corresponding to the ON-operated switch means 21 or 22 is unlocked. |
