PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric power steering device provided with a small and light cover having sufficient strength. SOLUTION: In the electric power steering device, the cover 11 is fixed to a gear box 9 provided successively to a steering column 7 to store a pair of worm gears of an electric power assist mechanism therein by bolts 45a, 45b and 45c. Two of the three bolts are arranged in the vicinities of both ends of a pivotal shaft insertion part 31 provided in the cover 11 and inserted with a tilt pivot TP extending in a vehicle width direction to be an oscillation fulcrum when adjusting a tilt position of a steering wheel 3.
