<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an operation control device of electric equipment, a storage-type hot water supply, for example, which keeps a clock function of a control part enabled for a long time and accordingly controls the operation at the recovery from a power failure in the same way as before the power failure, and reduces a cost. <P>SOLUTION: The operation control device of the storage-type hot water supply has the control part 10 connected to an AC power supply 1 via a switching power supply 2. The device is provided with a power failure detecting means 20. A backup capacitor 28 is connected in parallel to the control part 10. The power failure detecting means 20 outputs a power failure detection signal before discharge of the capacitor of the switching power supply 2 at the power failure is terminated. When the power failure detection signal is output, the control part 10 enters a standby mode.
