PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus that contributes to improvement in user's usability when a USB (Universal Serial Bus) keyboard is detached from the image forming apparatus. SOLUTION: For example, when a user performs a key input operation associated with logging-in after connecting the USB keyboard 69 as an external device to the image forming apparatus through a USB host part 65, performs a key input operation associated with necessary jobs to complete processes based upon key input operation contents associated with the jobs, and then disconnects the keyboard.
