PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bearing for a transmission capable of preventing the intrusion of a foreign matter and of attaining both of low torque and long life. SOLUTION: This bearing 1 for a transmission, which is arranged in the transmission that transmits the rotation of an input shaft to the rotation of an output shaft by stepless change, includes an inner ring 2 and an outer ring 3; a plurality of rollers 4, which are interposed between the rolling surfaces of these inner and outer rings; and a sealing means, which covers openings 8a, 8b of a gap between the inner and outer rings. Grease 7 is sealed around the rollers 4. The grease 7 includes at least base oil and a thickening agent, the base oil is made up of mineral oil or mineral oil and poly-α-olefin oil, and its kinematic viscosity at 40°C is 100 mm<SP>2</SP>/s or lower.
