PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical scanner capable of surely positioning a folding mirror to a predetermined position in assembly and suppressing the vibration of the folding mirror after the assembly as well and to provide an image forming apparatus including the optical scanner.SOLUTION: The optical scanner includes a light source part, a polygon mirror, a plane mirror, a housing, a mirror support part, an energizing member, and a mirror pressing part. The housing comprises a housing body which holds the light source part, the polygon mirror, and the plane mirror and a top cover which is attached to the housing body. The mirror support part is formed in the housing body and supports the reflection surface sides of both longitudinal ends of the plane mirror. The energizing member energizes both longitudinal ends of the plane mirror toward the side of the mirror support part. The mirror pressing part is formed on the top cover and comes into contact with the non-reflection surface side of the plane mirror.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 7 |
