PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To restore a transmitted data pattern more accurately.SOLUTION: According to an embodiment, a reception circuit receives a reception signal via a reception AC coupling element AC-coupled to a transmission AC coupling element, from a transmission circuit that transmits a transmission signal via the transmission AC coupling element. The reception circuit comprises a variable gain amplifier, a hysteresis circuit, and a first control circuit. The variable gain amplifier amplifies the reception signal with a variable gain and outputs an amplified signal. The hysteresis circuit has hysteresis in input-output characteristics, and outputs an output signal according to the amplified signal. The first control circuit controls the gain so that an amplitude of the amplified signal approaches a reference amplitude.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
