PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical encoder for preventing the occurrence of an optical crosstalk.SOLUTION: Provided is an optical encoder 10 comprising a rotor plate 20 in which a plurality of slit columns 24a-24e are formed, and a plurality of light-receiving units 60a-60e provided in correspondence to the plurality of slit columns 24a-24e, wherein at least one of the outside edge 60a1 of the light-receiving unit 60a positioned outward of the optical axis X of light from a light-emitting unit 50 and the inside edge 60a2 positioned inward of the optical axis X is located farther to the optical axis X than are the edges 24a1, 24a2 of the slit column 24a that corresponds to the at least one light-receiving unit 60a.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3A |
