PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a brush-type tail seal with high durability, which can be set up on a tail plate of a tunnel excavator drilling underground and can definitely carry out back-filling.SOLUTION: On a tail seal of a shield machine for tunnel excavation, a pipe member, through which a filler can pass in axial direction of a tunnel excavator to a bundled tail brush from a clearance in which the filler is disposed and can circulate across a cross section circumferential direction of the tunnel excavator, is disposed on outer diameter side or inner diameter side of a tail seal stationary portion cross section of the tail brush. The filler can be charged in the tail brush from outside of the tail brush through the pipe member by disposing one end of the pipe member so as to face the tail brush side face. According to this structure, as the filler can be definitely supplied in the tail brush from outside of the tail brush, performance of the tunnel excavator can be maintained without interfering a seal function.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
