PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a high pressure fuel pump capable of securing reliability of the high pressure fuel pump and capable of suppressing noise in operation of the high pressure fuel pump.SOLUTION: A fuel chamber 26 is defined and formed by a press plate cover 12 and a cylinder 20. The press plate cover 12 is joined to a flange 14 having a bolt hole 14c for fixing a high pressure fuel pump 10 to a cylinder head 32. The flange 14 has a thick portion 14a having a thick wall and a thin portion 14b having a thin wall. The thin portion 14b is formed adjacently to the bolt 14c in a radial inner side of the bolt hole 14c. A vibration control material 50 having rigidity lower than that of the flange 14 is compressed and arranged between the thin portion 14b and a guide flange 30 as an attached member of the flange 14.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2 |
