Landmine comprises a circular pressure dish with a central spring-loaded stem, when compressed frees a spring-loaded percussion pin. Near the edge of the pressure dish, spring-loaded dish guides parallel to the stem guide act in the same direction as the stem spring. The joint force of all the spring components forces acting about the edge of the pressure dish is about four times that of the force of the stem spring. Specif., the stroke of the pressure dish stem required for freeing the percussion pin is approx. 1/125th of the dia. of the dish.
