Precision seaming device associated with a sewing machine includes a synchronously driven device carried by the presser foot and operative to press down the pieces which are to be seamed together against the feed dog with which it feeds the pieces for synchronous displacement of the latter. Differential feeding of the pieces, leading to differential tensioning, is prevented.
