PURPOSE:To enable shock caused by irregularities on road surface to be absorbed by providing a valve which can connect one liquid chamber to a high liquid pressure source and change over the other liquid chamber to positions of a confining chamber, the high liquid pressure source and a low liquid pressure source. CONSTITUTION:In an outer cylinder 1 is fitted a piston 2 provided with a double acting damping valve for carrying out a limited replacement flow of working liquid between liquid chambers 4, 5. Also, a valve 10 is provided which connects one of liquid chambers 4, 5 to a high liquid pressure source 13 while being capable of changng over the other to a confining chamber in a position 10c connects the one to the high liquid pressure source 13 and the other to a low liquid pressure source 14 in a position 10d and connects the one to the low liquid pressure source 14 and the other to the high one 13 in a position 10e. The valve 10 is controlled in response to the sensor signals of vehicle height, steering angle, vehicle speed, vertical direction accelerometer, etc. to move forcibly vertically front and rear wheels along irregular road surface. Thus, shock caused by irregularities on road surface can be almost absorbed. |
