PURPOSE:To provide a smooth start of a car on a slope by providing a control means to judge whether the conditions are fulfilled to release a retention of a fixed brake force for controlling opening and closing of a brake force retention valve by this control means. CONSTITUTION:When a running car is stopped, a signal from a stop signal generator 11 is sent to a electronic control circuit 10 which gives force to an oil-pressure-controlled electromagnetic valve 9 to maintain a brake pressure. When the car is started from this stopped state, a clutch switch 13 linked with a clutch pedal outputs a signal to the circuit 10 when the clutch is connected. The revolution number is increased by a light step-in of the pedal but at a fixed time, the revolution number of an engine starts to be decreased temporarily. Then, if the electronic control circuit 10 judges that the conditions are satisfied, that is, the revolution number of the engine after a fixed time is over a fixed revolution number and the changing speed of the revolution number is less than a fixed speed, the given force to the electromagnetic valve 9 is released to release the brake force. |
