PURPOSE:To perform assembling and disassembling operations of a titled device in the inside of a low building with the aid of a crane by transferring and removing supporting stands for supporting an upper part driving device of a vertical mill and lowering the device with the aid of a cylinder mechanism. CONSTITUTION:A roll assembly 6 of a vertical mill 2 is separated from spindle parts 7 and is moved horizontally with the aids of rails 4 and wheels 3. An upper part driving device 8 is lowered by the actions of cylinders 16, 17 after moving supporting stands 9, 10, 11 with the aids of hydraulic cylinders 12. The assembling and disassembling operations of the device 8 are performed after lowering it by height H. Thus, said operations are performed in the low building with the aid of a low crane 18. |
