PURPOSE:To enhance the flying properties of an ink, by a method wherein, a bubble generated in the magnetic ink is accelerated due to a magnetic levitation, and the ink is flown as a liquid drip together with the accelerated bubble. CONSTITUTION:As a magnetic ink 5, both a hydrogen type and an organic type can be used, but an ink prepared by adding an organic dye to an oil-base magnetic fluid made of a magnetite fine powders is used. The ink 5 is loaded in a flow path surrounded by magnetic poles 1, 2 and non-magnetic bodies 3, 4. Due to the electric conduction to a heater 6, a bubble is generated and accelerated at a large-magnetic field gradient part between the non-magnetic bodies 3, 4 to flow with the magnetic ink. On the other hand, when a heater 7 is heated, the magnetic ink flies with the bubble at a high response speed, but a flying distance of the ink drip is slightly smaller than the case when the heater 6 is heated. In this manner, by setting a plurality of heating elements on the magnetic poles, a line head can be constructed. In addition, an organic- base ink can be used, and the clogging of ink can be also prevented. |
