<p>Gel compsns. with a turbidity of less than 100 nephelometric turbidity units (NTU) comprise (by wt.): (a) 0.1-10% of a gelling agent selected from 12-hydroxystearic acid (HSA) and its metal salts; (b) 0.1-10% of an alkylmethylsiloxane of formula (I)-(IV): where x = 1-50, y = 1-100 and R = 11-41C n-alkyl; and (c) 80-99.8% of (a siloxane) of formula (V)-(IX): where R = 1-7C alkyl, phenyl or phenylalkyl, R' = 1-7C alkyl, x = 0-1000, w = 3-6, and y and z = 2-1000, provided that at least two Si-bonded phenyl gps. are present.</p> |
