PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power unit which can improve the efficiency of a capacitor, in the case of using a capacitor large in inner resistance as a power source. SOLUTION: A power unit 1 is composed of a capacitor block 3, an input filter circuit 4, a switching regular 2, and a capacitor management ECU21. The capacitor cell 27 of the capacitor block 3 has an electric double layer capacitor 27a and a bypass switch 27b. The input filter circuit 4 is composed of a coil 1 and a capacitor 13. The switching regulator 2 has a switch 19, a coil 22, a diode 20, and a control circuit 23, and it supplies a PWM driver 14 with stable load power. In the power unit 1, when supplying the output power of the capacitor block 3 to the switching regulator 2, the ripples generated in the output power of the capacitor by the switching operation of the switch 19 is reduced, being filtered with a input filter circuit 4. The inner loss of the capacitor becomes small, and the efficiency of the capacitor can be improved. |
