The egg cup is made from two cradles (1,2) joined together by notches. Each cradle is a plate with a U-shaped cut out (3,4) that holds the egg and a straight base (5,6). One notch (9) is in the base of one part (1) and the other notch (10) is in the bottom of the cut out. The plates are assembled at right angles to each other. The tips of each plate (7,8) are shaped to form decorative curves. The plates are made in cardboard, plastics material or wood.
