PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily and properly execute the maintenance of a synonym dictionary by setting utilization judging reference value for judging an unnecessary record to delete a record of the number of utilizing times smaller than a set reference value. SOLUTION: An adding processing means 200 identifies whether a synonym is registered to a dictionary table 100 or not in response to a synonym registering request from a user, and generates/updates a retrieving record. A retrieving processing means 300 retrieves a record matching a requested retrieving character string from the table 100 in response to a synonym registering request from the user, returns a synonym as the result and counts up the number of utilizing times to the record. A utilization judging reference table 410 sets a utilization judging reference value for judging an unnecessary record and a period for regularly deleting the unnecessary record. A deleting processing means 400 deletes the record of the number of utilizing times smaller than reference set in the given utilization judging reference table. |
