PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent developer from the gap between a developing roll and a layer thickness restriction member from falling down into a developing device in which a photoreceptor is rotated from an upward direction above to a downward direction at a developing position. SOLUTION: This developing device is provided with a developing roll 3 installed at the developing position facing the photoreceptor 5 inside a casing 1, a layer thickness regulation member 6 for regulating the thickness of a layer of the developer fed on the developing roll 3 installed an edge part of a developing opening 1a of the casing 1 and the photoreceptor 5 that is rotated from the upward direction to the downward direction at the developing position by the developing roll 3. Then, a scattering developer sealing member 7 by which the space between the developing roll 3 and the layer thickness regulation member 6 is sealed is stuck on a non-contact surface side of the layer thickness regulation member 6 with the developer on the developing roll 3. |
