PURPOSE: A method for controlling a shift control solenoid valve is provided to complete shift without a shift shock by improving the response of an automatic trasmission. CONSTITUTION: A method for controlling a shift control solenoid valve includes the steps of setting a target shift step if a shift request signal is applied and determining whether an output shaft rotary frequency and throttle opening voltage quantity are changed to the target shift step position on a shift pattern(S100,S110); outputting a control signal for turing on and off a shift control solenoid to actually shift the shift step to the target shift step with continually determining whether the output shaft rotary frequency and throttle opening voltage quantity detected for a predetermined time are changed to the target shift step on the shift pattern if the output shaft rotary frequency and throttle opening voltage quantity are changed(S120); determining whether the output shaft rotary frequency and throttle opening voltage quantity reach the target shift step position on the shift pattern if the predetermined time has passed(S130,S140); and outputting a shift control signal to actually shift the shift step to the target shift step if the output shaft rotary frequency and throttle opening voltage quantity reach(S150).
