PURPOSE: A high level data link control(HDLC) apparatus is provided to receive packet data regardless of an address structure by adding a function of setting/masking each address bit. CONSTITUTION: An HDLC apparatus comprises a received data and state manipulating part(51) and an address comparator(70). The manipulating part(51) confirms a state of received data to report a microprocessor interface(60) the confirmed state, and makes the received data stored in a receive data storage of a DPRAM according to a report signal from the address comparator(70). The address comparator(70), by use of a software, sets an address of received data, which is to be received from a board, and an address of received data, which must not be to be received therefrom, according to a control signal from a central processing unit through the interface. The address comparator(70) compares the set address with an address of the received data to output the report signal to the manipulating part(51). |
