PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an ink which is excellent in water retention, gives markings nonerasable even under the influence of atmospheric moisture or moisture condensation, and can be cleaned and removed without staining a marked article or its circumference by mixing a water-soluble dye ink with a water-absorbent powder. SOLUTION: A water-soluble dye ink is mixed with a water-absorbent powder, preferably in a wt ratio of (100/30)-(100/50). Preferably, the water-absorbent powder is water-insoluble. Thus prepared ink is used for marking on the surface of a glass article. Even when the glass article is delivered and stored as a semifinished good, its lot number, etc., can be discriminated in a simple way. The absorbent powder is preferably a fine powder, and its examples are a talcum powder prepared from a talc powder, a talcum powder prepared from starch, and potato starch.
|
