PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve some problems that a refrigerant flowing sound becomes high to require a complex structure for preventing the sound from becoming high and its cost is increased due to no presence of metering device for reducing noise upon continuous and effective supplying of refrigerant to a metering passage (orifice) under a mixed state of gaseous phase refrigerant and liquid phase refrigerant. SOLUTION: A metering device is comprised of a main body having two spaces therein communicated through a metering passage and arranged on a substantial linear line in regard to a flowing direction of the fluid; two flow passages communicating each of the two spaces in the main body with an external part of the main body; and porous permeating material fixed inside the main body and arranged to cause at least one of the two spaces to be partitioned into one for the metering passage and the other for the flow passage.
