PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a facsimile terminal by which a user can pleasantly utilize a FAX connection service that faxes image data via the Internet or transmit an electronic mail of the image data to a destination. SOLUTION: The facsimile terminal arranges a mail environment where a system control section 11 generates an electronic mail on the basis of an input operation from a display menu of an operation display section 12 and converts a document entered from the display menu into text data and attach the text data to the electronic mail and transmits the resulting electronic mail to a destination mail address. In the case of registering a destination list to pleasantly utilize e.g. the 'TEGARUSU' of a FAX connection service provided by the NTT communications (co.), the facsimile terminal can transmit an electronic mail to which text data such as an identifier instructing a type of the processing and a mail address of a transmission destination of read image data are attached as an attached file to a server of the 'TEGARUSU'.
