PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an Internet facsimile terminal that is provided with a means that informs a user about details of a confirmation state of an already read transmission image. SOLUTION: In the case of transmitting electronic mail data, a confirmation as to whether or not the electronic mail going to be transmitted is already read is requested and communication management information of the transmitted electronic mails is updated on the basis of a result of reception of a reply electronic mail in response to the request.
