PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve problems that a conventional image input device that has caused distortion in a table and characters in existence on a file margin in the case of reading the file margin of spread pages of a filed document or a book or the like by an image scanner or the like and has required much expense in time and effort such that an image read after image reading is visually confirmed, the image is read again, the filed document or the book or the like is separated into each page and read again when there still exists distortion in order to acquire an image without distortion on the file margin. SOLUTION: In the image correction method, the image correction device and the recording medium by which an image input device reads an original in which characters and a table and a file margin exist and read image data are corrected, whether or not there exists distortion in an image corresponding to image data on the file margin is detected, when distortion exists, the image data indicating the distortion corresponding to an area of the file margin are detected and the image of the area is corrected to acquire the image data where no distortion exists in the file margin. |
