PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow an optical layer to generate a complete mesh network when a node is connected to a physical layer in a ring by specifying a start point node and its wavelength to select a start point of a hop table and using a first hop value to generate hopping of all nodes and wavelengths. SOLUTION: A start point node and its wavelength are specified to select a start point of a hop table, a 1st hop value is used to all hopping as to generate all hop values for all nodes and all wavelengths, and all hop values are recorded on the hop table. Then a receiver and a transmitter specific to the wavelength are provided into each node according to a sender/destination table prepared from the hop table. In this ring network, a serial number is given to ATM nodes, thus, for example, a 2nd node 2 is adjacent to a 1st node 1 and a 3rd node 3. The ADM nodes 1, 2, 3... are connected in a physical level via two fibers 20, 21 for opposite signal propagation. |
