PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for efficiently carrying and preserving caught fishes in a state maintaining the freshness and qualities so as to serve consumers with live fishes in a state soon after fished. SOLUTION: A fish 10 is scooped from a water tank and subsequently laid on a worktable. Then, a vertebra 1 near a medulla oblongata 11 of the fish 10 is thrust with the tip of a tool 6 by thrusting a position near the upper end of an operculm 21 with the tool 6 of needle type having a sharp tip, which position is the vicinity of a sideline 5 of the fish or the vicinity on a extension line of the sideline and outer than the operculum 21. It is necessary to take care so that the medulla oblongata 11 is not damaged.
