PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an impact absorption member capable of increasing absorption energy while suppressing collision load variation at collision without making the impact absorption member to large size and large weight. SOLUTION: In the impact absorption member of multiple frustum shape for relaxing impact load by causing buckling deformation by axial impact load, in the impact absorption member, a filling material such as a resin or the like is filled at the inside of a hollow outer shell body constituted by a plate material and an edge of a base part side is projected to a filling material side in the outer shell body. A plurality of buckling deformation holes formed by outwardly projecting an edge at an end side than an outer surface of the outer shell body are provided along a longitudinal direction of each side surface of the outer shell body.
