PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent engine stop in high load operation at deceleration of a vehicle in an air conditioner for the vehicle provided with a variable capacity compressor making an engine as a power source. SOLUTION: In the state that feeding of a fuel to the engine 7 is restricted by deceleration of the vehicle, when a deceleration degree of the vehicle exceeds a predetermined value, a delivery capacity of a coolant in the compressor 2 is reduced to a restriction value to prevent engine stop by load of the compressor 2.
