BISECTED ROTATOR PLATE, OPTICAL INFORMATION RECORDING DEVICE, AND OPTICAL INFORMATION REPRODUCING DEVICE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bisected rotator plate to be inexpensively constituted without being affected even when the wavelength of a laser beam is shortened.

SOLUTION: The bisected rotator plate 22 for bisecting and rotating incident light includes: an optical retardation film 1a for forming a first region 22L; and an optical retardation film 1b for forming a second region 22R. Mirror image relationship is obtained in the optical axes of the optical retardation film 1a and the optical retardation film 1b. By the configuration, the bisected rotator plate, which bisects the cross section of the beam of the incident light and rotates the light in different directions in each region, is obtained without using a liquid crystal film.
