<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce size and cost, and to much more stably acquire detail image by reducing a saturation region in an image. <P>SOLUTION: This blood vessel image input device is provided with an image pickup means having an image reading part for one or more lines and an image formation means for forming the partial image of the finger in the image pickup means, and configured to scan an image pickup region by moving the finger for acquiring a series of partial images, and to acquire the blood vessel image of the whole finger from the series of partial images. This blood vessel image input device is provided with an illumination means where a plurality of light emitting parts for emitting the rays of light to be transmitted through the inside of the finger are arranged in a cross-sectional direction at the side face side of the finger and a means for controlling the light emission quantity and light emission patterns of the plurality of light emitting parts in the illumination means according to the partial image. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
