<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image-forming device capable of properly setting from what page printing is restarted when sheet lengths prove to be different as the result of feeding a sheet while sheet widths coincide. <P>SOLUTION: The image-forming device forming a printed matter corresponding to printing data received via a communicating means and outputting the same has a means for detecting the width of the sheets set in a manual insertion tray, carries out printing when the width the sheet of the printing data and the width of the sheets set in the manual insertion tray coincide with each other, carries out discharging the sheet even though the lengths of the sheets do not coincide without generating jam, thereafter informs that the size of the set sheets is different, the sheets in the manual insertion tray is reset, thereafter causes a user to select to restart printing from the corresponding page or to restart printing from the next page of the corresponding page, and determines the page from which printing is carried out according to the selected result. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
