A heterocyclic radical or diradical, the dimers, oligomers, polymers, dispiro compounds and polycycles thereof are provided to produce electron transport materials for organic light-emitting diodes without disruptive effects on the matrix material by reducing oxidation potential of the target compounds which are useful as n-dopants, an injection layer or a blocking layer. A heterocyclic radical or diradical, the dimers, oligomers, polymers, dispiro compounds and polycycles thereof are represented by the formulae (1), (2), (3), (4), (5), (6), (7), (8a), (8b) and (8c), wherein the formulae (3) and (4) have at least one cyclic linkage selected from A, A1 and A2 which are optionally substituted carbocyclic, heterocyclic or polycyclic ring systems; T is CR22, CR22R23, N, NR21, O or S; the formula (7) has at least one bridge bond selected from Z, Z1 and Z2 which are independently selected from alkyl, alkenyl, alkynyl, cycloalkyl, silyl, alkylsilyl, diazo, disulphide, heterocycloalkyl, heterocyclyl, piperazinyl, dialkyl ether, polyether, primary alkylamine, arylamine and polyamine, atyl and heteroaryl; and in formulae (8a) to (8c), the ring size of respective heterocycles is 5 to 7 atoms in which X and Y are independently O, S, N, NR21, P or PR21, and R0-19, R21, R22 and R23 are independently optionally substituted aryl, heteroaryl, heterocyclyl, diarylamine, diheteroaryl amine, dialkylamine, heteroaryl alkylamine, arylalkylamine, H, F cycloalkyl, halocycloalkyl, heterocycloalkyl, alkyl, alkenyl, alkynyl, trialkylsilyl, triarylsilyl, halogen, styryl, alkoxy, aryloxy, thioalkoxy, thioaryloxy, silyl or trialkylsilylalkynyl.
|
