MOLD FOR MANUFACTURING A LIGHT GUIDE PANEL AND METHOD OF MANUFACTURING THE LIGHT GUIDE PANEL USING THE SAME

A mold and a method for manufacturing a light guide panel are provided to determine a thickness of the light guide panel according to a difference between a height of a lower mold and a height of an upper mold, thereby easily manufacturing the ultra slim light guide panel. A lower mold(100) has a cavity space formed by a plane unit having a predetermined area and side wall units vertically curved on an outer girth of the plane unit. Into the cavity space, resin is injected. An upper mold(200) has a base(210) and a depressing unit(220) protruded from the base. The resin is depressed according as the upper and lower molds are closely contacted. Therefore, a light guide panel is manufactured. According to a difference between a height of the side wall unit of the lower mold and a height of the depressing unit of the upper mold, a thickness of the light guide panel is determined.
