PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain platy composite magneoplumbite ferrite particle powder for a magnetic card, which has volume resistivity, superior stability with time passage, and superior dipersibility into vehicles. SOLUTION: In this platy composite magnetoplanbitye ferrite particle powder for a magnetic card, a fluorine-containing organosilane compound prepared from fluoroalkylsilane is coated on the surfaces of particles of the powder, carbon black is deposited on at least parts of the organosilane compound coatings of the particles, and the power particles have a mean particle size in the range of 0.21-2.0 μm. The amount of deposited carbon black is 0.1-10 weight parts, with respect to 100 weight parts of the ferrite particle powder. |
