SUBSTANCE: binder may be in preparation of molding and core sands in iron, steel and nonferrous casting, in veneer production as cement, in production of magnesite, briquetting of loose materials and in ore flotation in capacity of flotation agent. The binder contains the following ingredients, wt. %: ligno-containing material in the form of liquor concentrate from wood bisulfate cooking with content of dry matter of not less than 50%, 95-99: modifier in the form of mixture of polyethylene glycol ethers of monoalkylphenols of C19H19C6O(C2H4O)11H composition, 1-5. EFFECT: improved technical characteristics of molding and core sands, reduced pollution of environment due to utilization of liquor concentrate of wood bisulfate cooking and excluded discharge of wood-pulp and paper production wastes to rivers and other water reservoirs. 2 tbl
