PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processing method capable of stably performing an image similarity determination without degeading determination accuracy by a processing apparatus reduced in cost and scale, and to provide an image processing apparatus, an image forming apparatus, a computer program, and a recording medium. SOLUTION: A cnt value is read as an address so as to determine whether an lbnum[cnt], which is the number of counted pixels of an object label, is lower than a first threshold value (S201). When the lbnum[cnt] is determined to be lower than the first threshold (YES in S201), data including the ibnum[cnt] is abandoned (S202). Then, the first threshold is changed.
