PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve a problem that a device searched by a protocol A and a device searched by a protocol B are sometimes recognized as devices different from each other, when searching the devices through a network. SOLUTION: A proxy server 9300 for executing protocol conversion processing in a network system searches the presence of the other protocol converter for conducting the prescribed protocol conversion processing on the network, and determines whether the searched protocol converter is under the protocol conversion processing or not when the other protocol converter is searched on the network.
