PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the size and to provide an armature for direct-current motor and direct-current motor that can easily connect a riser with a coil with wire and simplify coil-winding job. SOLUTION: When the U-phase, V-phase, W-phase, X-phase and Y-phase are allocated to each tooth 36, in this order, the coils 71, 72, 73, 74 and 75 for each phase are connected serially to the U-phase, X-phase, V-phase, Y-phase and W-phase, in this order, to form these coils 71, 72, 73, 74 and 75 in a string and connect the coil 38 provided between different phases to a segment 41.
