PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus which can embed position information of a place shooting a video in an audio signal with a simple configuration, can readily acquire the shooting place from a playback sound of the audio signal based on the position information of the shooting place via the Internet when playing back the video, and has versatility. SOLUTION: The recording/playback apparatus includes a global positioning system unit (hereinafter, referred to as GPS unit), an orthogonal frequency modulation unit (hereinafter, referred to as OFDM unit) for multiplexing position information from the GPS unit to an audio signal from a microphone, and a recording/playback part for recording an output audio data from the OFDM unit and a video data from an imaging part to a recording medium.
