The present invention relates to a distribution box for a streetlight with a leakage alert function, which provides information on leakage, generated in a light pole of a streetlight or a distribution box, using a visualized alert signal, thus promoting pedestrian safety. The distribution box for a streetlight comprises: a case which is configured to be separated from a streetlight or installed in a light pole of the streetlight, has a power control module embedded therein to control an operation of the streetlight, is made of metal materials, and is configured to be opened and closed; a current sensor which is installed in the case or the light pole, and senses current flowing on a surface of the light pole or a surface of the case to provide a current value; a controller which is embedded in the case, compares the current value, sensed in the current sensor, with preset data, and applies a control signal of a short-circuit status or a safety status; and an alert which is installed in the case or the light pole, operates according to the control signal of the controller, and provides information on leakage of the current using a visualized alert signal. |
