In a mobile communication network, a terminal performs a beam switching process in a layer 2, after a target beam has been determined based on signal intensity of a serving beam and a candidate beam, if the serving beam and the candidate beam are operated in the same base station. According to the present invention, the method is capable of swiftly switching the beam in the mobile communication network.
